內側翼突 Medial pterygoid, mastication muscle with a superficial part running from the tuberoisty of the maxilla and the pyramida; process of the palatine bone and a deep part running from the medial surface of the lateral pterygoid plate with both parts inserting on the medial surface of the ramus and angle of the mandible

外翼肌 Lateral pterygoid, mastication muscle with a superior head running from the sphenoid bone's infratemportal crest to the temporomandibular joint capsule and an inferior head running from the lateral surface of the sphenoid bone's pterygoid plate to the neck of the mandible's pterygoid fovea

頰肌 Buccinator, mastication muscle (accessory) with a superior part running from the maxilla's alveoloar process, inferior part from the mandible's alveolar and posterior part from the mandible's pterygomandibular raphe and buccinator crest. All three parts insert into the modiolus
